Some funny things I’ve enjoyed recently:

• I Think You Should Leave season 2
• this tweet
• basically everything by this guy (e.g. there’s a guy in my tarp)

it’s all people who are just inhabiting a slightly different universe than the rest of us, and they take it for granted and then go on with the joke. (ITYSL is particularly good at this: they’ll introduce a concept like “sloppy steaks” or eating batteries but then just blow past it as if to say “of course that’s a concept we all know.")

similarly I started watching Maniac, and they introduce “Ad Buddy” so seamlessly. if you’re out of cash, an actual human can come read ads to you to pay for your train ticket or cigarettes. but it’s not a plot point, just something introduced along the way.

I like when tv/movies/comedy do this.
